What to Wear

Our wedding is at a zoo — so the dress code is a little different to your typical wedding! Your outfit might need to adapt as the day goes on.

The Ceremony

For the ceremony itself, we'd love you to dress smart but relaxed. Think smart trousers and a nice shirt, a lovely dress, or whatever makes you feel great without needing a full three-piece suit.

Ties are optional — but if you've got one that matches your shirt, go for it. Novelty, animal, or zoo-themed ties are especially welcome. It is a zoo wedding, after all.

The Zoo Tour

At some point during the day, we'll be heading out for a tour around the zoo. This means being outdoors and on your feet for a while, so comfort is key.

We'd strongly recommend bringing a pair of comfortable shoes to change into — the zoo is big and heels on gravel is nobody's idea of fun.

There's a secure cloakroom available, so feel free to bring a bag with a change of shoes or a spare layer.

The Evening

By the evening, feel free to dress down a bit and get comfortable. It's a party — we want you dancing, not adjusting your cufflinks.

Weather

Parts of the day will be outdoors, so keep an eye on the forecast. Consider popping a light jacket or umbrella into the cloakroom in case you need to grab it.

It's only a couple of minutes' walk from the car park to The Square, so you can always nip back if you've forgotten something.

British weather — you know the drill.

Colours

No restrictions here — wear whatever colours make you happy!
