We're so glad you're joining us at Chester Zoo — having you there means everything to us.

This page has everything you need to make the most of the day. If you want to know how we got here, take a read of About Us. And if you have any questions at all, just ask.

Good to Know

There's a secure cloakroom at the venue for bags, jackets, and spare shoes.

It's only a couple of minutes' walk from the car park to The Square, so you can nip back to the car if you need to.

There's a bar available throughout the day — not an open bar, but there whenever you need it.

This is an invite-only event with set numbers, so please only attend if you've received a personal invitation.

Please no outside food or drink — the venue doesn't permit it.

No pets, any shape or size — as much as we love them!

No confetti please — the zoo asks us to keep it clean for the animals.

Gifts

Please don't feel any obligation to buy us a gift — having you there is more than enough.

If you would like to do something, a donation to Chester Zoo, sponsoring an animal, or picking something up from the zoo gift shop would mean the world to us.

Photography

Feel free to snap the odd photo during the ceremony, but we'd love it if you could keep phones to a minimum (and on silent!) — we want to look out and see your faces, not the backs of your phones!

Our photographer will be capturing the ceremony and we'll share the photos with everyone.

Outside of that though — go wild. There'll be plenty of time before and after to grab photos of us, each other, families, and hopefully a few animals too. We absolutely want to see them all.
